Category Clinical Development and Medical Location Dubai Dubai AE About the department Region APAC Asia Pacific is one of seven regions in IO International Operations IO is responsible for half of the sales and profits in Novo Nordisk The APAC headquarter is based in Dubai UAE and is responsible for seven independent markets Australia NZ India Indonesia Iran Korea Thailand Pakistan and 1 Business Area cluster BASEA comprising of all other south east Asia markets Region APAC is a growth driver for IO and is on an exciting journey to make significant positive impact on patient lives through established medicines as well as new launches within the Diabetes Obesity and Biopharm portfolios The CMR Clinical Medical Regulatory function across APAC is responsible for driving the CMR strategy in alignment with the commercial and R D priorities APAC CMR is currently in a exciting phase of growth new initiatives and several opportunities in this dynamic region The function currently has approximately 300 employees spread across the region within different affiliates The regional CMR function is expected to set the strategic focus and direction to the team and ensure alignment coordination and oversight across the region The position Through functional leadership of a team of CMR Directors you will inspire lead and develop a matrix organisation of Clinical Medical Regulatory professionals across the APAC countries The focus for the next few years will be to continue the journey of building the key capabilities in our CMR organisation while continuously improving the impact of CMR to transform patient care in our region You will be the chair of APAC Product Development Plan PDP forum and help our markets needs to the overall Novo Nordisk PDP In alignment with the business strategy you will shape the external healthcare environment and ensure that our CMR organization actively contributes to the strong value story of our company and our brands Together with global stakeholders you will drive the necessary capability-building that allows us to prepare for successful entry into future therapy areas of Novo Nordisk In addition you will ensure representation of the Region in relevant regional and global boards and meetings You will act as the bridge between the scientific and the commercial stakeholders both internally and externally You will be part of the APAC leadership team and IO CMR Leadership team and you will be based in Dubai Qualifications In order to be successful in this role you must have extensive experience with leadership at multiple levels and be able to work effectively in a matrix organisation You are expected to be comfortable with ambiguity and complexity and respond quickly to a dynamic environment You are preferably an MD alternatively PhD with a minimum of 15 years of experience from an international pharmaceutical company You have 5-10 years of leadership experience including 3-5 years of senior leadership You have experience from working in a global matrix organization You have a background in Medical Affairs and a demonstrated ability to build and nurture strong relationships with top KOLs In addition you are experienced within Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs You have demonstrated strong leadership and business partnering skills and a genuine interest and curiosity to understand the business and how CMR can support the companys strategy at all stages of the brand life cycle You have strong communication influencing and negotiation skills and you have the ability to work and deliver across countries and cultures with experience of working in several other cultures than your own You are willing to travel extensively Contact For questions please contact Talent Acquisition Partner Lisa Williams at lshw novonordisk com Deadline May 27th 2020 Millions rely on us To work for Novo Nordisk you will need the skills dedication and ambition to change lives for the better for millions of patients living with diabetes and other chronical diseases In exchange we offer the chance to be part of a truly global workplace where passion and engagement are met with opportunities for professional and personal development
