Requisition Title COMMIS CHEF - EXPO - Fixed Term Contract HRT116 Organization EKFC GROUP COMPANY Description Applications are invited for the position of Commis Chefs - EXPO on Fixed Term Contract 8-10 months v Position within EKFC - EXPO v Reports to Demi Chef Chef De Partie v Location EXPO v Category Culinary v Tenure Fixed Term Contract - 8-10 months Key Accountabilities v Ensure timely proper and efficient preparation of all products according to specifications recipes and orders within his her allocated area v Deliver allocated tasks on time and have clearly understood the instructions expectations from the team v Manage the section shift specific production planning resource management material and equipment scheduling cooking dishing cutting v Attempt to revisit recipes through trials and innovative ideas using previous experience and guidelines with a focus on reducing costs without compromising on quality within the section area of operation keeping the supervisors pre-informed of any such trials efforts v Ensure arrangement and dishing of food items according to specified menus in compliance with the established Hygiene and Safety Procedures v Ensure appropriate storage of products according to food safety and quality guidelines v Always maintain high standards of food hygiene cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen storage chillers and freezers v Share ideas with seniors on ways to reduce costs expenses in a pro-active manner v Check sort receive and reject received ingredients to ensure compliance with specifications v Competing tasks on time provide feedback advocate policies and procedures Education Qualification v Minimum Senior Secondary School certificate Work Experience v Years of Experience Minimum 2 years of experience including any apprenticeship or industrial training duration in the culinary field v OR 3 years experience in lieu of technical qualifications v Area of Experience Culinary field Preferred v Area of Experience Culinary field v 1 year of experience including any apprenticeship or industrial training duration in the culinary field Skills v Active listening skills v Active learning skills v Ability to work under pressure v Good organisational skills v Attention to detail v Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities v Ability to multi task v Supervisory Teamwork skills
