Company Overview Alpha Development is an international financial services training firm headquartered in the UK Our clients are the worlds leading investment banks insurance firms sovereign wealth funds private banks and asset managers We offer global coverage through our team based in London Singapore and Abu Dhabi as well as an industry-leading network of Associate Faculty across our centres of operation including the US wider Middle East India Hong Kong and mainland China Purpose As part of its commitment to clients in the Middle East region Alpha Development has established an office within the Abu Dhabi Global Markets ADGM international financial centre and free zone This role will lead profitable growth in the region running the regional sales team and responsible for our commercial success across the GCC Key Accountabilities Responsibilities Sales Leadership Expand our established regional relationships and build from our global franchise to expand our regional client base Responsibility for developing the Middle East commercial strategy along with the successful communication and delivery of the strategy Guide and direct commercial activity across the Alpha client universe to maximise the potential of the firms products and services profitability and to support delivery against KPIs and targets Work alongside Commercial Directors in other regions to share best practice referrals and leads Develop and ensure Alpha Development commercial methodology and approach are maintained by sharing best practice and continual improvement to protect company s commercial position This includes measurement tools to forecast success alongside the Finance Director and other regional commercial directors Recruit and manage the regional sales team according to our global strategy Responsibility for regional new business development negotiations and commercial contracts in line with proposed budgeted growth Provide leadership and instil best working practice across the Global Sales and Marketing team helping to establish a leading service Providing support to the Marketing Manager to ensure the Commercial functions strategy is embedded within Marketing and aligned to the global marketing plan Work with the Marketing Manager to develop Marketing plans and tactics to achieve growth goals in the region Direct sales responsibility lead from the front Experience Knowledge Skills Required Skills required Exceptional sales record within L D HCM or Professional Services Sales management experience at a growth orientated firm Ability to manage others through the entire sales process from prospecting to closing to renewal Business Development focus but ability to flex to RM role as required Demonstrate a solutions-focus approach think about the client first understand their clients needs and strive to add value to their clients Act with our companys values at all times Encourage learning within the regional and global sales team leading by example Ability to co-lead within a start-up function working with local functions and with London Singapore hubs Experience Knowledge required Minimum 10 years within professional services sales and or Learning Development HR MS Office i e Outlook Excel Word and PowerPoint Experience Knowledge preferred Knowledge of the training industry Knowledge of the financial services industry Experience of Learning Management Systems eLearning systems and webinar software Experience of L D especially Early Careers Arabic language skills spoken Other Information Department Location Sales The role will be based in our Abu Dhabi office Contract Type Permanent immediate start date preferable Reports To Global Commercial Director based in London Travel This role will require travel within the Middle East region frequently throughout the year as well as significant time spent working on-site at client offices Occasional visits to London HQ are expected Hours This role is full time i e Sunday to Thursday 37 5 hours per week 09 00 17 30 and flexibility with working hours and days will be required from time to time to suit client needs Holidays 21 days per annum plus public holidays of UAE or days in lieu Staff Benefits Include health insurance Gym membership contribution pension scheme
