Purpose of the position:



The position is responsible for Wizz Air’s corporate communication (PR) and marketing activities related to Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. Scope of the role includes managing the reputation of the company in Abu Dhabi/UAE and in connecting destination markets especially in the GCC region, North Africa, Central and South Asia, developing brand awareness, securing local & international press, proposing and executing the marketing support plans offline/digital via paid & non-paid media, including initiative development, creative development, alliance marketing, and social media or other online initiatives. The manager closely collaborates and aligns plans with central resources (Head of Marketing and Head of Communications)





keeping local market needs in focus. 



Corporate Communication (PR) related:



- Cultivate relationships with key business and mainstream journalists in national and trade publications across UAE, secondarily in Wizz Air Abu Dhabi destination countries

- Write clear and compelling communications materials such as press releases and presentations, update boilerplates, data sheets and maintain department archives

- Develop compelling story angles, aligns key messages with Wizz Air Head of Corporate Communication

- Update key messages and media FAQs where required

- Coordinate activities of external agencies. Assist production of events’ pre & post production

- Coordinate and channel media requests and enquiries in a timely manner

- Pitch stories to media. Achieve highest visibility online, in print, broadcast, TV in all UAE/GCC markets



Marketing related:



- Propose and manage the annual Marketing Plan for Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and its destination markets (including outbound & inbound routes) in cooperation and in alignment with Head of Marketing Wizz Air

- Work together with the company’s other commercial departments to diagnose development areas and identify opportunities, support them with marketing initiatives & activities in order to drive potential customers to our digital sales & engagement channels

- Lead local communication material development in line with Wizz Air`s overall brand guidelines (Brand Book, Tone of Voice guide) provided by the central teams. Provides input to the guidelines.

- Actively work on promotions and marketing campaigns, including definition of key communication messages, creative design, ensuring brand consistency

- Lead various marketing projects to be implemented across Abu Dhabi/UAE/GCC, including airport signage and using wide variety of digital and offline marketing tools

- Provide local market and customer insights to central teams for ancillary services branding

- Identify, implement and manage the most effective marketing tools and channels to create awareness of the agreed key communication messages

- Identify potential business partners and external business opportunities (airports, tourism boards), and turn these opportunities into tangible revenue gains



General



- Keep current with marketing and communication trends, innovations, techniques and media regulations

- Identify and manage local PR/creative/media/event agencies in alignment with Head of Marketing and Head of Communications in case local leverage and knowhow outweighs scale benefit provided by central agencies

- Maintain efficient working relationships with all local agencies, JV and business partners, stakeholders and government entities

- Leverage central media agency resources where applicable and where central resources are recommended

- Influence the broader Wizz Air organization to develop the customer acquisition/engagement/communication programs and strategies

- Allocate resources in an effective manner to ensure best ROI

- Monitor all relevant communication, brand, digital and offline media KPIs connected to areas of responsibilities

- Cooperate on a daily basis with the rest of the marketing, communications and commercial teams, to set the priorities according to network strategy, to understand market & brand strengths and weaknesses, quickly develop action plans to address them

- Controls all cost associated with activities, managing respective Wizz Air Abu Dhabi marketing & communications budget efficiently and accurately, provides budget inputs to central teams

- Keep local contact data bases up to date

- Coordinates tenders with central Purchasing team



Requirements:



- Min. 5 years of experience primarily in the field of corporate communications, secondarily on marketing/brand management

- Experience in managing complex projects in multi-country operations

- Mastery in communication, customer, market understanding and digital marketing either of agency or client side

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Arabic language and local UAE/GCC market insights knowhow is a strong plus

- Creative and confident, with strong interpersonal skills and attention to details

- Resilient, have a passion for working in the dynamically growing airline industry

- Ability to work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met

- Has stamina, good presentation and communication skills

- Result-oriented, persistent, dependable and consistent

- Shows innovation, creativity and good lateral thinking
