About our role Based in Dubai, as our Regulatory Affairs & Nutrition Science Manager for Turkey Middle East and Africa (so called TMEA),
you’ll collaborate with our internal teams to commercialise new and existing ingredients and technologies across the TMEA marketplace. As well as working to register new products and ingredients in these markets, you’ll also support sales, marketing and commerical teams with advice on product labelling, nutrition science, claims and advertising, ensuring they can showcase our products and ingredients to our customers. You’ll also participate in a variety of committees and trade associations where you will discuss current and upcoming legislation as well as emerging science and policy issues in the nutrition and health environment. This is your springboard to directly influence how our industry interprets and adapts legislation and how we embed it into our organisation, as well as helping identify nutrition-related business opportunities in the region. Similarly, you may find yourself presenting to hundreds of ingredients professionals at regional trade shows or to small groups of non-technical professionals internally and externally. About you To be successful in the role you’ll need to have: Minimum of BSc (or equivalent) in Nutrition or a related biological science, with a preference for MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline. Fluency in English (verbal, written and presenting); Arabic (verbal and written) language skills highly preferred; Turkish and French language skills beneficial In-depth experience (typically 5 to 10 years post qualification) in the food industry or associated industries (pharmaceutical, nutritional supplements etc.) primarily in regulatory affairs / regulatory compliance, and nutrition science with direct experience of working in multiple countries across the TMEA market. Proven track record of partnering with authorities (local, state and federal, e.g. Ministry of Health), KOLs and trade associations Sharp analytical skills with a high attention to detail Demonstrated capability for team collaboration across geographic and cultural boundaries Easily able to work independently in a fast paced and fast-moving environment First class communication skills in English and ideally Arabic, with experience in developing science-based communications for technical and lay audiences.
