Posted Date Jan 28 2019 Ref JB3878086 Post Share Tweet Manager - Workforce Operations Department Definition The Human Resources Workforce and Volunteers department HRD is responsible for delivering an exceptional workforce who will deliver an exceptional Expo HRD includes the following functional areas Human Resources Operations HRO Workforce WKF Volunteers VOL Internal Communications Training Engagement IET Emiratization Expo Academy EMI Workforce function is responsible for the scoping planning processing welfare and wellbeing of all Workforce Paid Volunteers Contractors in the lead up to and during event time Opportunity Responsibilities The Manager Workforce Operations is responsible for the design and delivery of the venue-based operations for the Workforce Department including the delivery and management of the Workforce Operations venue teams The scope will include developing Workforce policies and procedures building the Workforce Operations Team and working with Venue Operations Catering and Transport to ensure workforce services delivered on venue Main responsibilities of the role include Delivery and management of functional plans operational plans for all services to deliver within the Workforce Operations programme Responsible for the design and delivery of site operations for Workforce Define the Workforce Operations central delivery plan as part of the Operations Centre detailing requirements for reporting attrition and contingency planning and resolution of Event Time workforce issues Management and readiness of Workforce Operations team members Liaise closely with all Expo 2020 Functional Areas to analysis determine the organizations site based needs for Workforce Liaise with key service providers such as catering and transport to ensure workforce services planned and delivered for Workforce In collaboration with Policy and Reward develop policies and procedures that relate to workforce operations at Event Time for all paid volunteer and contractor staff ensuring alignment with existing HR policies and procedures In collaboration with Training FA develop and deliver the Workforce Operations Role Specific and Operational Specific training and Manager on-boarding Build train support and engage a large team of paid staff who will deliver Workforce Operations on site Scope all physical operation spaces overlay technology and other equipment associated with Workforce delivery on site Build and maintain strong client focused relationships with all Functional Areas and establish detailed site requirements for all areas Manage scheduling for the Workforce Operations Team and support the Workforce Services team in ensuring scheduling deadlines are met across all FA s In collaboration with Policy and Reward deliver the Workforce Reward and Recognition programme to ensure all Workforce are motivated and engaged Participate as part of the wider HR Workforce and Volunteer team to ensure a successful workforce delivery including supporting workforce function activities outside of core job duties Recruit lead and develop functional area team Manage a team of local employees for workforce operations provide on the job coaching and up skilling to develop their expertise and knowledge Ensure and build cross functional relationships and integration Manage the team on a day to day operational basis Skills 6 years relevant experience as well as Experience in engaging with higher management Negotiation Skills Advanced MS office in particularly Excel Experience working on previous international mega events Bachelor s degree
