The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University invites applicants for a faculty position in the areas of Aerodynamics and Design.
The preferred specific areas of expertise are experimental and / or computational aerodynamics, rotorcraft aerodynamics, turbomachinery, gas dynamics, aeroelasticity, hypersonic, advanced flow diagnostics, turbulent boundary layer flows, and multidisciplinary design for applied aerodynamics integration related to aircraft design.
Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments.
Candidates are expected to develop and teach core courses related to aerodynamics and / or aircraft design at undergraduate and graduate levels, having a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and / or externally funded research program in his / her area of expertise, publish his / her research findings in refereed journals and have high citations, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.
The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current / future research activities, teaching philosophy, and courses taught.

Minimum Qualification Applicants must have an earned doctorate in one of the announced areas from a reputable western university.
The ability to teach undergraduate courses within both the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Programs is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualification Ph.D in related fields from an internationally recognized University and proven record of publication in top-ranked journals and relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Experiences in airworthiness, aviation regulations and certification are preferred.
