Black& Grey HR is hiring for a renowned University in theUAE. Our client is looking to hire aSenior Officer in Employee Relations who will prioritize thedevelopment of positive relationships between universityadministration and employees. This role involves ensuringcompliance with applicable labor laws and regulations whileeffectively addressing any employeerelated issues orconcerns.
Responsibilities:
Act as the first point of contact for employees with HRrelatedquestions.
Maintain fair employeerelations policies to ensure compliance with universitypolicies.
Communicate regularlywith employees to address inquiries andgrievances.
Track and manageescalated employee issues recommending appropriate disciplinaryactions.
Compile and verifypayroll data for accuracy and timelyprocessing.
Process nonrecurringpayroll transactions like bonuses andbenefits.
Maintain records ofattendance and pay adjustmentsaccurately.
Oversee employeeservice requests and ensure timelyprocessing.
Manage healthinsurance processes and provide support for employee claims andcomplaints.
Coordinate employeeengagement programs and manage the offboarding process includingexit interviews and trendanalysis.
Requirements
A bachelor s degree in HR Management Accounting or a related fieldis required; a master s degree ispreferred.
At least 5 years ofrelevant HR experience including a minimum of 3 years in EmployeeRelations or as an HR generalist.
Experience in a higher education environment ispreferred.
Fluency in Englishboth written and spoken is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plusbut not mandatory.
Familiaritywith UAE Federal and Labor Laws isnecessary.
Practical experiencewith payroll systems practices and procedures isrequired.
High computer literacyis expected with a working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP beingdesirable.
Strong HRMS technicalskills including the ability to generate and analyze reports usingExcel and other reporting tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the abilityto engage effectively with individuals at all levels of theorganization.
