Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Set timelines and milestones for the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to project handover. Coordinate with project managers and department heads to ensure resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) are available and properly allocated. Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as needed to avoid delays. Track daily and weekly progress on-site, identifying potential delays and recommending actions to mitigate them. Prepare progress reports for stakeholders, including project managers and clients. Identify risks that could impact project timelines or quality and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Communicate risk factors and solutions to the project team and management. Work with the project cost control team to ensure that projects remain within budget. Regularly review and adjust project schedules to avoid cost overruns. Conduct periodic project reviews to assess overall performance and suggest areas for improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in planning engineering within the construction industry. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant planning tools. Strong knowledge of construction processes, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works. Familiarity with UAE construction laws and regulations (preferred if in the UAE). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
