competitive OrganizationBUNAOpening DateMonday, November 16, 2020 - 12:00 - Saturday, December 31, 2022 - 12:00IntroductionAs the implementation phase of Buna, formerly known as the Arab Regional Payment System (ARPS), project picks up momentum, we are looking for a Product Specialist to join our founding team. Duties of the Product Specialist include setting the strategy, roadmap and vision for Buna’s products.
The job holder is also responsible for driving and promoting innovation via new products as well as improvement opportunities of existing products. This position will report to Chief Strategy & Development.In this context, the following sections detail the main qualifications, skills and responsibilities related to this position:Job ResponsibilitiesProduct Design and DevelopmentBuild functional and technical requirements of Buna productsPropose enhancements and development of Buna products with emphasis on innovation that addresses the current and future business needs of Buna’s participantsDevelop metrics and measurable KPIs to assess the success of products and determine necessary enhancementsDefine, in collaboration with the engineering team the timeline for product implementationProduct Management and OptimazationConstruct business cases for Buna products based on market research,
competitive analysis and data analytics tools Drive and communicate Buna core existing and new products vision and goals to keep the business relevant and competitiveProvide advice and guidance on direction of Buna productsPrioritize product opportunities, requirements and featuresLead and participate in product planning meetingsMaintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offeringsCoordinate with other divisions to ensure alignment on product development and expectationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, product, and engineering to deliver all products and features as per developed plansProvide subject-matter expertise on go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and pre-sales support to Buna’s business development and marketing teams,
as well as other internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholdersManage in proof-of-concept initiatives to test additional featuresMarket ANalysisConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential future market needs (new features or products)Leverage data analytics tools to monitor and enhance the partner’s experience and business performance of Buna productsWork with direct participants to identify their product needsAnalyse key gaps between Buna features and participants’ needsQualifications and SkillsExperience & Education5+ years of product management experienceExperience in cross-border payment systems, FX solutions and fintech productsPrior experience with payment APIs and backend technologiesExperience in the following areas is a plus (Payment Market Infrastructures (PMIs), Instant Payments, Securities and Debt markets,
and CBDCs)Graduate degree from a reputable university preferably in computer science or any relevant technical fieldKnowledge of product development, management, optimization, data collection and extraction and analysisExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Proficient in product management methodologies and tools, data analytics tools, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Excellent organization and time management skills, negotiation skills, and ability to work on own initiative, accurately to tight deadlines,
