Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our logistics team. As a Logistics Assistant, you will support the logistics department in managing and coordinating the efficient movement of goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in coordinating and tracking shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
2. Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
3. Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to arrange transportation and resolve any issues that arise.
4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels,
performing regular counts and reconciling discrepancies.
5. Process and manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
6. Support the logistics team in planning and optimizing transportation routes and schedules.
7. Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities in the system.
8. Assist in managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
9. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth logistics operations.
10. Provide administrative support to the logistics department, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a logistics, shipping, or warehouse role.
3. Knowledge of logistics processes, transportation methods, and inventory management.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
5.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
