**Who do we need?**
As a successful Account Manager, you must have proven skills across planning, creative and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to manage accounts and account teams. You will be a strong leader with excellent writing and communications skills and an ability to translate client needs into project plans. You will also help develop and implement engagement campaigns for a variety of clients. Ideally, you should have agency/consulting or related experience with a background in consumer PR.
You are adept at drawing upon previous sector experience to provide clients with knowledge and counsel
- all complemented by your sector specific client servicing skills and media relations with key journalists in both horizontal and vertical media.
**What will you be doing?**
**Client Relations**:
- Responsible for the day to day running of client business, the manager will take a lead role ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Be a key player in supporting the clients at events and activations.
**Content development**:
- Develop a range of external and internal content including press releases, key message documents, speeches, memos, etc.
- Assist in setting and meeting campaign measurement and evaluation criteria.
**New Business**:
- Organic growth/project sell-in from existing clients - critical to this is ensuring clients are aware of our offerings and pitching services to clients wherever possible.
**Industry and Market knowledge**:
- Maintain a high understanding of client’s business and work to create a good knowledge of current developments and trends affecting the clients’ industries and markets
- Have knowledge of the role of social media channels in PR and how to best utilise each channel to the clients’ benefit
- Demonstrate understanding of the clients’ digital work and provide counsel to team on social media content and activations
**Account Team Management**:
- Contributing guidance and ideas for the account teams to implement and develop client work
- Assist in financial management for clients, including supplier coordination and activity reports.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience
- Experience from a reputed PR Agency managing Consumer clients, preferably
- Experience within lifestyle, travel or destinations PR a bonus
- Well-rounded communication skills, good at client servicing and media relations, as well as the ability to write in a range of styles including news releases, case studies, status reports, features and proposals
- Experience in managing people and teams
- Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement and evaluation driven
- Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
