**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Logistics Coordinator will oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of the company, with a particular focus on international shipments. This role includes managing the procurement process, ensuring the accuracy of HS codes, and preparing all necessary documentation such as country of origin certificates and packing lists.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Order Processing**:Manage and oversee the process of order shipments from the point of origin to the final destination, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
- **Country of Origin Applications**:Prepare and submit country of origin certificates, ensuring compliance with international trade agreements and regulations. Coordinate with suppliers to verify and obtain the necessary documentation.
- **HS Code Verification**:Accurately classify products using the Harmonized System (HS) codes, ensuring compliance with customs requirements. Collaborate with the customs broker and trade compliance teams to resolve any classification issues.
- **Packing List Management**:Prepare and verify packing lists for all shipments, ensuring accuracy in the description of goods, quantities, and packaging details. Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to ensure that all items are packed and labelled correctly.
- **Inventory Management**:Monitor stock levels and inventory to ensure adequate supplies for production and orders, coordinating with the warehouse team as necessary.
- **Shipping and Receiving**:Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
- **Vendor / Client Management**:Liaise with client suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
- **Transportation Management**:Arrange transportation and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- **Documentation**:Prepare accurate reports, documentation, and invoices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including export/import requirements.
- **Problem Resolution**:Address and resolve any shipment issues,
such as delays, damages, or losses, in a timely and effective manner.
- **Compliance**:Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental standards, and international trade laws**.**:
- **Continuous Improvement**:Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with a focus on international trade and procurement.
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail, and a solid understanding of international logistics processes
