Job Title: Storekeeper - Aluminum and Glass Industry
- Location: Dubai Industrial City
- Reports To: Factory Manager
- Job Summary:
The Storekeeper will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of aluminum and glass materials. This role includes receiving and issuing materials, keeping records updated, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of warehouse operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Record and update inventory levels in the inventory management system.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and report discrepancies.
Material Handling:
- Store materials safely and in an organized manner, following industry standards and company policies.
Label materials properly for easy identification and access.
- Ensure materials are protected from damage and deterioration.
Issuing and Distribution:
- Prepare and issue materials based on requisitions and project needs.
Coordinate the timely delivery of materials to various departments or project sites.
- Maintain accurate records of material issuance and returns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
Generate regular reports on inventory status, including stock levels, discrepancies, and usage.
- Assist in the preparation of inventory-related documentation for audits and compliance checks.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all storage and handling activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the store.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and project teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any material-related issues.
- Provide regular updates on inventory status and store activities to the Store In Charge or Warehouse Manager.
- Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably within the aluminum and glass industry or construction sector.
Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to material handling and storage.
- Must be well versed with Good Received Notes ( GRN)
- Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in inventory management or warehouse operations.
- Experience with project management software.
