The Role
We are looking for a Primary SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join our team in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to students with varying special needs and disabilities,
ensuring that each child receives a tailored educational experience.

What do we look for?
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
- Strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special needs

Uptown is a Four programme IB World School from Nursery to Grade 12. Our Primary school has recently celebrated its seventeenth-year anniversary while our secondary school opened its doors ten years ago. We are an inclusive school who also cater to the highest attaining students, with three perfect 45 point scoring students in the past 4 years, and over 20% of students achieving 40 plus points.
