Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in implementing overall communications and marketing plan.
- Responsible for using the written word to express ideas or tell a story with clarity. Create content using various multimedia formats that can be read, listened to, or viewed onscreen.
List of Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
- Perform market analysis and research on the competition.
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
- Refine social media strategy and best practices.
- Assist in managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
- Prepare weekly updates and reports to track the growth and success rates of campaigns.
- Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly.
- Ensure proper messaging is being executed online.
- Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities.
- Assist with website copywriting, proofing, and updating as needed.
- Produce content for live/pre-recorded broadcasts and other types of performance.
- Develop scripted material for the Web and other digital communication platforms.
- Conduct research before and during the writing process.
- Prepare material for assignments, which includes planning, outline, and synopsis.
- Appropriately source and cite resources.
- Edit content for correct spelling and grammar.
- Conduct thorough fact-checks before submitting any work.
- Arrange material in chapters or parts.
- Use desktop or electronic publishing software.
- Attend feedback sessions and make revisions suggested by the client, publisher, or editors.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business & digital marketing, writing, communication, language, marketing, or similar.
- Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and anticipate next steps or needs.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understand and utilize emerging platforms, digital media, and web/social media management and measurement tools (e.g., HootSuite, Google Analytics).
- Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of email marketing applications.
- An interest in current events and a general thirst for knowledge.
