Key Responsibilities :
- Create detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Set timelines and milestones for the project lifecycle, from pre-construction to project handover.
- Coordinate with project managers and department heads to ensure resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) are available and properly allocated.
- Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as needed to avoid delays.
- Track daily and weekly progress on-site, identifying potential delays and recommending actions to mitigate them.
- Prepare progress reports for stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
- Identify risks that could impact project timelines or quality and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Communicate risk factors and solutions to the project team and management.
- Work with the project cost control team to ensure that projects remain within budget.
- Regularly review and adjust project schedules to avoid cost overruns.
- Conduct periodic project reviews to assess overall performance and suggest areas for improvement.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in planning engineering within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant planning tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works.
- Familiarity with UAE construction laws and regulations (preferred if in the UAE).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
