Reporting to the GCC Strategic Market Access Lead, the Gulf Private Health Insurance & Payer Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with private health insurers and other payers to ensure the successful positioning and reimbursement of our Companyâs product portfolio.
This role includes the following responsibilities :
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with private health insurers and key payers across the Gulf
Conduct regular meetings and presentations to educate payers on our Companyâs product portfolio, clinical benefits, and economic value propositions
Negotiate and manage formulary placements and reimbursement agreements
Work with private health insurers to ensure or expand the insurance coverage of our Companyâs product portfolio
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as external affairs, medical affairs, marketing, sales, KAM / CTC to ensure a favorable reimbursement environment
Analyze market trends, payer policies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats
Monitor and report on relevant healthcare laws, regulations, payer policy changes, reimbursement landscape, and formulary decisions impacting our products
Represent the Company at pharmaceutical trade associations and industry events
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payer engagement and market access success
Ensure all payer interactions and agreements comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies
Provide training and support on payer-related topics and private health insurance initiatives
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration,
Health Economics, Public Health, or a related field
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or relevant roles
Strong understanding of private health insurance and payer systems, including formulary management, reimbursement processes, and claims management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Fluent in English and Arabic
