Key Responsibilities :
Preparation and Cooking :
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for various Japanese dishes.
Follow recipes and cooking techniques as instructed by senior chefs.
Learn and apply traditional Japanese cooking methods, such as sushi preparation, tempura frying, and noodle making.
Kitchen Maintenance :
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.
Quality Control :
Assist in ensuring that dishes are prepared to the restaurantâs standards.
Conduct taste tests and make adjustments as needed.
Safety and Hygiene : Adhere to all hygiene and safety standards, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Team Support :
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
- Communicate effectively with senior chefs and other team members.
- Qualifications :
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an advantage.
Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
