Job description
Job Summary :
The Estimator will be responsible for managing all costs relating to interior design fit-out projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
The role will involve seeking to minimize the costs of a project and enhancing value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze project costings for interior design fit-out projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Perform cost estimation and budget preparation.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and other related documentation.
Evaluate tenders and assist in the selection of contractors and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports to the project team.
Manage variations to the project, ensuring that costs are controlled.
Maintain effective communication with the project team and stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the company's health and safety policy.
Participate in project meetings and provide cost advice to the project team.
Provide post-contract cost analysis and final accounts.
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in estimation in the interior design fit-out industry.
Proficient in the use of relevant software and tools for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
Knowledge of local construction laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
