As the Head of Inclusion at Diyar Schools, you will lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that all students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership and Management**:

- Develop and implement the school's SEN policy in line with current legislation and best practices.
- Lead and manage the inclusion team, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
- Coordinate the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring that they have access to a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum.






- **Student Support**:

- Oversee the identification and assessment of students with SEN, developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring their progress.
- Ensure that appropriate interventions and support are in place for students with SEN, including in-class support, specialized teaching, and access to external services.
- Foster an inclusive school environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with teachers to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and resources needed to support students with SEN.
- Liaise with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the development and review of IEPs.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support for students with SEN.
- **Monitoring and Evaluation**:

- Monitor the effectiveness of SEN provision,





using data to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic planning.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and governors on the progress and outcomes of students with SEN.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date records of SEN provision.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with advancements in SEN education and inclusion practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and share best practices with colleagues.
- Provide training and support to staff on SEN and inclusion-related issues.

**Performance Indicators**:

- Effective implementation of SEN policy and procedures
- Positive outcomes and progress for students with SEN
- High levels of staff confidence and competence in supporting students with SEN






- Strong relationships with parents and external agencies
- Compliance with statutory requirements and best practices in SEN provision

**Qualifications**:

- Qualified Teacher Status or Certification in respective country
- Degree in Education or a related field, with a specialization in SEN preferred
- Extensive 5 years experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusion best practices

**Other Specific Duties**:
Includes playing a full part in the school community, continuing personal professional development, complying with health and safety policies, and undertaking additional duties as specified.
