Position: Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer

Qualifications:

1. NEBOSH Diploma
2. Experience in WHS field

Amazon is looking for an EHS Officer to join our team. Year-on-year, as we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated, and empowered. To help us achieve this, we're seeking a driven WHS Officer who will assist in driving health and safety across our delivery stations in Abu Dhabi / Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

1.





Lead site risk assessments for current and new activities.
2. Establish site WHS training matrix.
3. Implement site-specific WHS standards and guidelines.
4. Implement site WHS objectives and programs.
5. Promote a safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing/standup meetings.
6. Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes.
7. Work with Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury.
8. Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as GEMBA walks, area audits, vehicle and driver inspections.
9. Attend to incidents and occupational injury cases on site.
10. Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write-up, and communication of lessons learned.
11. Assist Ops team in Gensuite follow-up sheets and CAPA creation.
12. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries align with global WHS standards and local regulations.

Ensure PPE inventory at site and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
14. Ensure completion of basic fire fighting training and first aid training.
15. Complete daily Trailer Dock Release (TDR) inspections and communications.
16. Monitor Daily Action Tracking System, including closeouts and support.
17. Participate in site management safety walks and provide insights into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
18. Provide daily updates to Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO's, ATS, and network actions.
19. Prepare WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write-up, and ATS creation.
20. Review and sign off on daily Permit to Work, collaborating with the operational and facilities team.
21. Lead on WHS related procurement and follow up on site.

Prepare risk assessments and emergency response plans.
23. Manage preparation and completion of emergency drills, medi-evac drills, and prepare drill records.
24. Establish and monitor Heat Index support.
25. Provide support to site-specific requests, unplanned events, and activities.

Requirements:

1. On the road experience.
2. Excellent with computers and data analysis.
3. Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
4. Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
5. Experience working within a team.
6. Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns, and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
7.





Experienced in emergency response; currently holds First Aid and CPR certificates.
8. Passion for safety.
9. Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree.
