Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Production:
Assist in preparing ingredients and tools for pastry production.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
Assist with mixing, baking, and decorating pastries under the guidance of senior staff.
- Quality Control:
Ensure all products meet the quality and presentation standards set by the Pastry Chef.
- Conduct taste tests and adjust recipes as needed.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to hygiene and safety standards, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Inventory Management:
Assist in managing inventory by tracking ingredient levels and reporting any shortages or issues to the Pastry Chef.
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries.
Training and Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training to learn new techniques and improve pastry skills.
Stay updated with current pastry trends and techniques.
- Teamwork:
* Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff, including chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Communicate clearly with senior staff regarding any issues or needs.
