We are seeking a talented and experienced VM Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our stores through effective visual merchandising strategies. As a VM Manager, you will play an instrumental role in creating visually appealing displays that enhance the overall customer experience and drive higher revenue.
**Job Summary**:
The VM Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of visual merchandising in our stores. This includes creating planograms, designing floor sets for marketing campaigns,
coordinating with the marketing team on signage and collaterals, and optimizing the in-store journey through strategic floor plans. The VM Manager will also be responsible for performing regular store visits and checks to ensure VM and merchandising guidelines are well executed, training and coaching store teams on VM and merchandising guidelines and providing regular reports and recommendations to the leadership team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create Planograms: Develop comprehensive planograms that outline the optimal arrangement of products on store shelves and displays.
- Design Floor Sets for Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute attractive floor sets that align with ongoing marketing campaigns. Incorporate campaign themes, promotional materials, and relevant signage to create a cohesive visual experience for customers.
- Coordinate with Marketing on Signage and Collaterals:
Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective signage and collaterals for store displays.
- Create Customer-Friendly Floor Plans: Design and optimize store floor plans to enhance the customer journey, maximize traffic flow, and improve overall shopping experience.
- Drive Cross and Link-Selling: Create visual displays and arrangements that encourage customers to explore complementary products and accessories. Use innovative merchandising techniques to facilitate cross-selling and link-selling, increasing the average transaction value and customer satisfaction.
- Assess Productivity of In-Store Displays: Regularly evaluate the performance and effectiveness of in-store displays. Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Perform Regular Store Visits and Checks:
Conduct regular visits to our stores to ensure that VM and merchandising guidelines are being effectively executed. Evaluate the adherence to brand standards, planograms, and overall VM strategies. Identify any areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to store teams. team.
- Consistently Train and Coach Store Teams: Train and coach store teams on VM and merchandising guidelines to ensure consistent execution across all locations.
- Maintain VM Guidelines and Documentation: Develop and update comprehensive VM guidelines and documentation that serve as a reference for store teams.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in visual merchandising within the retail industry. Share this knowledge with the leadership team and store teams,
suggesting ways to incorporate new ideas and concepts into our stores.
- Foster Collaboration and Cross-Functional Relationships: Collaborate closely with various departments, including marketing, store operations, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of visual merchandising strategies. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to create a unified and cohesive brand experience for our customers.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong creative and artistic skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent knowledge of visual merchandising principles and techniques.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Passion for pets and understanding of the pet food and supplies industry is a plus.
