- Job Description: As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that reflect our British heritage and meet our high standards of taste and presentation. Your key responsibilities will include:
Creating and baking a range of pastries, cakes, tarts, and desserts according to recipes, needs and specifications.
- Decorating pastries and desserts to a traditional British styling and appearance.
Ensuring all pastry items are prepared and presented consistently and in a timely manner.
- Monitoring inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and placing orders as needed.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the pastry section, including equipment and work areas.
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new pastry items and seasonal specials.
- Assisting with menu planning and costing related to pastry items.
Previous experience with Hot Kitchen would be an advantage as role would involve assisting in the hot kitchen when needed.
- Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, Pastry Chef de Partie, or similar role in a reputable establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Creativity and artistic flair in decorating pastries and desserts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
