We are currently looking for an experienced cost controller for our food division based in Ajman..
- Monitor and analyze the costs associated with food production, procurement, and distribution.
Track expenses related to raw materials, packaging, labor, utilities, and other operational costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Develop budgets and financial forecasts related to food production and operational expenses.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure budgets are adhered to and adjustments are made as necessary.
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of inventory.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs with budgeted costs.
Investigate and explain any discrepancies or deviations from the budget.
- Implement corrective actions to address cost overruns or inefficiencies.
Prepare regular financial reports and cost performance analysis for management.
- Present findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management or stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls related to cost management and financial reporting.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) may be preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in cost control, financial analysis, or management accounting within the food industry is typically required. Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software is often preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and cost analysis.
