The BBQ Helper supports the BBQ Chef in preparing, cooking, and serving BBQ dishes. This role involves working closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. The BBQ Helper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, preparing ingredients, and assisting in the cooking process.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
Assist in marinating and seasoning meats and other BBQ items.
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, and other accompaniments for BBQ dishes.
Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and organized.
- Cooking Assistance:
Operate grills, smokers, and other BBQ equipment under the guidance of the BBQ Chef.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to the correct specifications.
Assist in the plating and presentation of BBQ dishes.
- Kitchen Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning grills, utensils, and workstations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Assist in the inventory management of BBQ ingredients and supplies.
- Qualifications:*
Previous experience in a kitchen or BBQ setting is preferred.
Basic knowledge of BBQ techniques and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
