Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care and Diagnosis: Perform detailed skin examinations to diagnose various dermatological conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections). Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with dermatological issues. Perform procedures like skin biopsies, mole removals, cryotherapy, and excisions for skin cancer. Cosmetic Procedures: Perform non-invasive and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, including but not limited to Botox injections, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermal fillers, and laser therapies for hair removal, pigmentation, and scar reduction. Advise patients on the available cosmetic procedures and expected outcomes. Patient Consultation and Education:
Provide expert advice to patients on skin care, including guidance on preventative measures, such as sun protection and early detection of skin abnormalities. Educate patients on dermatological conditions and treatment options. Ensure patient concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Collaborative Care: Work closely with other specialists and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care. Refer patients to other medical professionals for conditions that require specialist care outside dermatology. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with DOH and facility standards. Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality protocols. Comply with local healthcare regulations, including timely renewal of medical licenses and accreditations. Research and Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends, treatments, and technologies in dermatology. Participate in continuous professional development programs, workshops,
and seminars to maintain the highest level of expertise. Quality Assurance and Patient Safety: Ensure a safe clinical environment that meets the highest standards of hygiene and infection control. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure all procedures follow clinic or hospital guidelines for safety and effectiveness. Professional and Ethical Conduct: Uphold ethical medical practices, ensuring that patient care is the top priority. Maintain professional behavior when interacting with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical degree with specialization in Dermatology (e.g., Board Certification in Dermatology). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Dermatologist,
preferably in a clinical setting in the UAE. Licensing: Current DOH license or eligibility to practice dermatology in Abu Dhabi. Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions, expertise in cosmetic procedures, excellent communication skills, patient-centric approach.
Key Competencies:
Strong knowledge of skin biology, dermatological diseases, and treatment protocols. Advanced proficiency in cosmetic dermatology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate and guide patients. Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety. Teamwork and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
