General Accountant

An independently owned Car Rental Company in Dubai is on the look-out for an accountant.

Ideal candidate should hold 2 to 3 years of proven UAE Car Rental /Transportation Accounting / bookkeeping experience in addition to the following –

Job Specific Requirements

· Extract Data from Rent a Car Software and prepare it for collections to upfront payments receiving from customers.

· Keep check on customer’s balances on daily and follow up for overdue balances

· Prepare Refunds for customer within 30 days of Car return

· Keep financial records up to date

· Prepare and issue invoices

· Knowledge in VAT filing

· Handles petty cash and maintaining PDC register

· Handles payroll, prepare data for WPS.







· Prepare and manage purchase orders for vendors

· Handles all outgoing or incoming correspondence

· Filing and retrieving corporate records, documents, and reports

· Working Knowledge of profit and loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.

· Preparing Reports on Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly Basis with addition to Adhoc Reporting Requirements from Finance Manager

Technology and software Skills

· Proficient in Accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage. Xero and Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)

· Rent A Car Software knowledge is a Plus point.

Educational Qualification (Minimum)

Bachelor in Accounts/Commerce (preferred)

Only candidates holding prior UAE experience in Car Rentals/Transportation will be considered. Candidate with profiles not holding prior experience in UAE will be discarded without review
