Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review project specifications and drawings to determine materials, labor, and equipment needed for bidding purposes.
- Source and obtain competitive bids from vendors and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services required for projects.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor and track project costs and expenditures to ensure adherence to budget and provide regular updates to project management team.
- Generate and submit price estimates and bids to clients and participate in bid reviews and presentations.
- Coordinate and oversee the procurement process from pre-bid to post-bid phases, including issuing purchase orders and managing subcontractor contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, including adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and communication throughout the procurement process.

AqualiaMACE is in search of talented and motivated individuals for the post of Procurement Manager / Estimator in the field of Strategy/Planning in one of their offices located in Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree qualification and at least 5 years of experience. This position requires mandatory skills in reviewing project specifications, materials, labor, equipment, bidding, sourcing, subcontractors, procurement, monitoring, project management, compliance, policies, procedures, regulations, quality, safety, and standards. This is a full-time morning shift job. Salary varies between 8000 to 10000 AED per month depending upon skills and years of experience.
