**Roberto’s Catering **a currently seeking a flexible and energetic Commis 1 chef who has a strong background in Casual Italian dining restaurants to join our dynamic team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of hot kitchen dishes, including main courses, sauces, and side dishes, ensuring each plate reflects the highest quality and adherence to recipes.
- Responsible for preparing and presenting a diverse array of savory dishes
- Showcase expertise in grilling techniques, achieving perfect sears and flavor profiles for grilled items such as meats, seafood, and vegetables.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef to maintain consistency and excellence in all hot kitchen and grilling preparations.
- Uphold stringent food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring the cold kitchen station remains clean, organized, and compliant with all regulations.
- Adapt to varying event sizes and styles, efficiently adjusting production to meet the demands of each occasion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in hot kitchen and grilling, preferably in Italian restaurants or cuisines.
- Culinary education or relevant certification is an advantage.
- Previous Hotel or Restaurant experience is preferred.
- UAE experience is favored.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work odd hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
Excellent spoken and written English is a must. Additional languages are a plus.
**Salary**: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
