The Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites Dubai Business Bay, a pre-opening cluster of hotels, is looking for an experienced Steward Supervisor to join their extraordinary team!
Conveniently located in the heart of Dubai's Business Bay area, home of the Burj Khalifa! Minutes away from The Dubai Mall, renowned Jumeirah Beach, and with convenient access to all of Dubai's world-leading tourist attractions.
The Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites Dubai Business Bay will include 275 hotel rooms as well as 120 one- and two-bedroom apartments, convenient F&B; offerings & meeting and events facilities.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
As a Steward Supervisor, your main responsibilities, under the general direction of the Chief Steward and Hygiene Officer and within the limits of Holiday Inn Hotels Standards, Policies and Procedures, and local requirements, are to oversee the activities of stewards and ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
In addition, your role often involves managing a team, coordinating tasks, and maintaining inventory.
- Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and tidy and that all work surfaces are kept clean.
- Assist the Chief Steward that all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations are adhered to regarding the kitchen areas.
- Report any faults on kitchen equipment and fittings to maintenance and follow through on what action is taken.
- Ensure all duties on the cleaning roster are carried out according to hotel standards.
- Ensure that an adequate supply of clean crockery and cutlery is provided for Restaurants, Lounge, Room Service, and Banqueting.
- Ensure that the Chefs are provided with an adequate supply of clean utensils and equipment.
- Monitor the standards of performance of the charge hands and kitchen porters and take corrective action when necessary.
- Assist the Chief Steward in ensuring that all shifts are covered.
- Assist the Chief Steward with training and induction of new staff,
to enable them to carry out their duties according to standards.
- Ensure that due diligence sheets are filled out and that standards of cleanliness in all Kitchens and Food & Beverage back-of-house areas are checked daily.
- Attend Food & Beverage meetings regularly.
- Carry out any other duties within the food and beverage department that may be required.
What We Need From You

- Good level of spoken / written English
- Flexibility in shifts & tasks
- Organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to train others
- Good knowledge of HACCP
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar environment (4-star hotel)
