Action Global Communications, an independent communications agency spanning three continents, is looking for a result-driven, committed, and enthusiastic Communications Executive for our office in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support the development and implementation of high-level corporate communication campaigns and should have a strong background in communication campaigns.
Responsibilities
1. Support with coordination on all aspects of client communications including but not limited to administration, reporting, editorial, and brainstorming, to ensure work is accurate, on schedule, consistent, and adheres to client guidelines.
2. Using a good command of written English and in consultation with the client lead,
proactively develop the first draft of some client content, including press releases and media alerts, and seek feedback from the team.
3. Draft media pitches, distribute content, and lead on follow-ups in GCC media, managing ad hoc media requests and supplying background information and images to media upon request.
4. Proactive media and social media influencer outreach and meetings with key journalists from English and Arabic media outlets/influencers to update the team on editorial/online opportunities where multiple clients can be featured.
5. Ensure all content (images, backgrounders, factsheets, editorial, and market intel) and media lists are updated and saved on the Action UAE server.
6. Coordinate with suppliers for client events.
7. Attend client meetings, prepare contact reports, and briefing notes.
8. Attend client and media/influencer events, coordinating on-site requirements.
9. Monitor and absorb daily news cycles and agendas, competitor news, statistics, and feedback to teams and clients (where applicable).
10.
Proactively gain an understanding and working knowledge of all core communications disciplines across Action UAE with a focus on social media to provide a quality assurance check of project deliverables, assisting with the implementation of best practices and solutions across functions.
11. Stay abreast of communications industry trends.
Requirements
1. BA/MA degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
2. At least 1 year of experience as a communications executive in the UAE.
3. Proven track record of executing successful communications campaigns.
4. Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets will be considered an advantage.
5. Excellent English writing proficiency.
6. A “can-do” attitude.
