Site Manager - Power Plant

Site Manager will be stationed at the Simple Cycle Power Plant in Jebel Ali, and will oversee site management and supervision, supporting the Client in supervising the EPCM Contractor.

He will coordinate with the Client, Contractors, and ILF back office. With the support of consultant site engineers, he will manage all site activities and report to the Project Manager.

He is responsible for the successful execution of the EPCM scope and will submit weekly and monthly reports.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for all the commissioning activities related to Mechanical, Electrical and I&C; scope of works of the project.
- Responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the entire commissioning activities.






- Prepare commissioning procedure guidelines for Employer's review and approval.
- Expedite issue of submission of all contractors' commissioning documents; approve them and co-ordination of all interfaces works.
- Conduct regular construction meetings with Construction companies.
- Verify and control the project schedule on Construction and commissioning.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Establish site regulations and rules of site operation.
- Strategically manage the site schedule, progress of works and cost.
- Developing a site safety culture during the site execution of the project.
- Be the focal point for communication between Client, Contractors and internal Consultant team.
- Co-ordinate all the activities to ensure successful completion of the project fully in conformity with the agreed contract specifications and the project programmed.
- Manages complex and interdisciplinary project across several discipline.
- Lead the Consultant workforce team and control their performance.






- Approve key deliverables, decides on any technical and commercial matters.
- Implement and manage project controls, risk management strategies, and compliance measures to safeguard project integrity.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility among project teams and contractors.

Qualifications

- Have GT knowledge, Site management etc.
- Have work experience with power plant consultants, EPC / EPCM Contractors, Gas turbine OEM.
- Have proven track record of site-based project execution capabilities.
- Have multilingual capability that suits EPC / EPCM handling.
- Have 15+ years of relevant professional experience and 10 years' experience as Site Manager.






- Have previous experience in contracts associated with EPCM projects in power plant.
- Have consultancy experience as Site Manager for 350 MW and above is must.
- Have GCC / UAE experience mandatory.
- Have bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Have master's degree in power sector is added advantage.
- Have PMP certification is advantage.
- Have english proficiency is mandatory.
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
