Summary
Pearl initiative is looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Services Associate to provide support to the Business Services department by managing daily Accounting, HR, IT and Administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and have the flexibility and experience to perform other critical business service-related tasks.

Essential Functions
This position will encompass a range of finance related tasks including, but not limited to :
Accounting and Finance
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Preparation of AR invoices and emails to be sent to partners
- Maintain follow ups for AR invoices for collection and maintaining the AR reconciliations to make sure all outstanding invoices are collected
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Preparation of expenses, payrolls, and monthly payments to be processed.
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports (P&L; before and after allocations and by class
- Prepare monthly cost allocations based on programmes
- Preparation of Trial Balance reconciliations, monthly transactions etc.
- Preparation of Programme records and reconciliations
- Assist with Preparation of End of Grant reports and Programme Budgets for programmes like Siemens, BMGF and NAMA.
- Manage the Annual Audit for PI and interim audit for specific programmes
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections
- Assist with other Business Services projects as assigned
Administration and IT
- Manage renewals and subscriptions for software
- Maintain Salesforce and other IT software and creating access for employees and new joiners
- Managing and creation of timesheets for employees
- Maintaining IT hardware and coordination with Crescent IT for the set up for new employees
- Managing the Leave forms, employee leave requests, and obtaining approvals
- Maintain Etisalat phone and making sure subscriptions are up to date
- Maintenance of PI Website.
- Prepare Minutes of Meeting for all governance meetings.
Human Resources
- Assist with posting job ads for open positions and collection of resumes
- Shortlisting of candidates and conducting initial informational interview
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Coordination of Intern hiring.
- Set up for new joiners (IT and office set up)
- Assist with preparation of company policies and procedures.
- Setup and administration of SuccessFactors for employee performance evaluation
- Processing of visa applications, cancellations, ID applications and creation of contract based on SRTIP regulations
- Liaison with SRTIP for any other matters.
Essential Experience
- Proven accounting experience with excellent organising abilities
- Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources / administrative role
- Basic knowledge of the UAE labour laws
- Good with numbers and figures and possesses analytical acumen
- Highly proficient with Quickbooks
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, including IFRS
- Can complete simultaneous tasks in a high-pressure environment to deadline and budget
- Excellent knowledge of MS Officeand familiarity withrelevant computer software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Qualifications (ACA,ACCA, CPA or CIMA)is preferable
- A flexible, supportive, and positive team player
- Excellent data presentation skills and ability to write clearly and concisely
