**Job Description**:
Scope Of Work: Manages the Human Resources and Training functions of the hotel by developing the strategy aligned to the hotel?s business objectives. The position also plays a leading role in promoting the desired work culture around the Danat Hotels & Resorts values of: respect, integrity, craftsmanship and pride in ones work. Job Responsibilities: 1. Ensures full implementation and adherence to the DH&R; HR Operations Standards Manual as well as all additional Corporate add-on Policies and Procedures. 2. Develops the hotel?s HR strategy in conjunction with the Executive Committee and General Manager. Aligning the strategy to support business objectives both short, medium and long term. 3.





Responsible for all aspects of the colleague life cycle: hiring, onboarding, orientation, career progression, performance management, voluntary/involuntary dismissal and offboarding. Adhering to all required UAE labour and immigration laws as well as following international best practice. 4. Develop and maintain effective employee relations through: regular review of total rewards; consistent and fair recognition; consistent and fair management; ensuring regular and timely feedback on performance; encouraging multi directional communication etc. 5. Effectively manage the Employee Metrix on-line employee satisfaction survey ensuring the survey is administered according to Danat Hotels & Resorts Corporate policies and procedures. Ensures that post survey departmental action plans are formulated within pre-set deadlines to enhance and or improve upon highlighted issues. 6.





Collaborates with the Management Team to monitor colleague performance to ensure all persons are working to a standard that contributes to the achievement of the hotel?s business objectives. 7. Ensures that all disciplinary actions are issued in accordance to the DH&R; HR Operations Manual; are issued consistently and fairly; adhere to all UAE Labour Laws; and promote ethical management. 8. Proactively champions the use of the Danat Hotels & Resorts on-line Employee Performance Management (EPM) system. Ensuring that Managers keep up to date performance journals of all team members. 9. Ensures that all required performance appraisals: probation, annual and contract renewal, are carried out on time, are fair, and provide performance based justifications for all ratings. 10.





Bi-annually reviews all job descriptions and person specifications to ensure relevance to operational requirements and provide timely feedback of the same to Danat Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office. 11. Creates a Succession Planning system for all grades to ensure consistency in service and to promote career development within the hotel/group. 12. Ensures that all HR related documentation is kept up to date; filed accordingly to the DH&R; HR Operations Manual and best practice data protection laws. 13. Ensures all colleague back of house areas are kept in a good state of repair and cleanliness and all policies and procedures pertaining to the use of these areas are adhered to at all times. 14. Demonstrates the 12 SEB?s and proactively encourages all hotel colleagues to continually follow the same. 15.





In conjunction with the Training Team Ensures full implementation and adherence to the DH&R; Talent Development Operations Standards Manual as well as all additional Corporate add-on Policies and Procedures. 16. Conduct a TNA and develops the hotel?s annual training plan. Aligning the plan to support business objectives both short, medium and long term. 17. Monitors the annual training plan on a quarterly basis to ensure implementation and evaluates that learning objectives have been met and acquired skills and knowledge are being transferred back in the work place. 18. With the Training Team monitors the Customer Metrix reports and guest satisfaction ratings. Discusses the same with Department Heads to address any performance issues within the Department that are impacting upon guest service. 19.





Ensures that the Training Team keep all Training related documentation up to date; filed accordingly to the DH&R; Talent Development Operations Manual and follow best practice data protection laws. 20. Keeps self up to date with all new HR & Training systems, strategies, as well as local and international labour laws. HR Responsibilities: 21. Provides performance evaluations regarding HR colleague probation periods, annual performance reviews, promotion or transfer consideration and salary reviews. 22. Ensure a training needs analysis of HR departmental colleagues is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs. 23. Conduct departmental training as required and maintain training records for all HR colleagues. 24. Coach and counsel HR colleagues,





providing timely feedback on performance to ensure all are working to provide assistance and support to all hotel colleagues. 25. Approve leave requests after considering the business needs. Financial Respo
