Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Finance to join our Finance team at Wild Wadi Waterpark. The role involves overseeing the financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy in the financial statements. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Finance to support the financial health of the waterpark by analyzing data and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly Profit & Loss Statements, ensuring accuracy and providing actionable insights.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring no unauthorized postings.
- Assist the Director of Finance in preparing monthly forecasts, balance sheets,
and other key financial reports.
- Post journal entries to allocate expenses correctly across cost centers as part of the month-end process.
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of regional review presentations.
- Maintain and update finance performance indicators on a quarterly basis.
- Input monthly financial figures into Hyperion and Financial Management Systems, ensuring accuracy.
- Review and consolidate data for colleague quarterly bonuses and service charge distributions.
- Maintain and update trackers for contracts, insurance, accruals, and CAPEX to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
- Provide training to finance coordinators on Profit & Loss (P&L;) reviews and ledger maintenance as needed.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and responding to inquiries.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of financial statements and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, with experience in Oracle, Hyperion, PMS,
and POS systems considered an advantage.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and present actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments and provide financial training when required.
- Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines to ensure timely reporting.
Level of Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- CIMA qualification or an advanced degree in Business or Commerce is preferred.
Work Hours:
- Full-time role with flexibility in hours, including weekend and holiday shifts, as required by the business.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of experience in accounting,
preferably in the hospitality or entertainment industry.
