The role of a Chinese Translator cum Administrator in a medical center is multifaceted, combining language translation skills with administrative responsibilities. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication between Chinese-speaking patients and healthcare providers, as well as supporting the smooth operation of the medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Translation Services**:
- Provide accurate translation of medical information, instructions, and documentation from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Assist healthcare professionals during consultations, ensuring patients fully understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and other medical information.
- **Patient Liaison**:
- Act as a liaison between Chinese-speaking patients and medical staff, helping to bridge language and cultural gaps.
- Address patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, filing reports, and handling correspondence.
- Support the front desk operations by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient intake processes.
- **Cultural Sensitivity**:
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding of the needs and preferences of Chinese-speaking patients.
- Educate healthcare staff on cultural nuances to facilitate better patient care and communication.
- **Compliance and Confidentiality**:
- Adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping practices.
- **Team Collaboration**:

Skills and Qualifications:
