**Job Title: Tandoor & Indian Cuisine Chef**
Job Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, taking into account seasonal availability and food cost objectives.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the menu and ensure that each dish is prepared to the highest quality and presented in an attractive manner.
- Ensure that food hygiene, health and safety standards are met in the kitchen at all times.
- Develop new and creative menu ideas, and work with the restaurant management team to ensure that menus are regularly updated.
- Monitor food stock levels, and order supplies as required to ensure that adequate stock is maintained.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, and manage their schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
- Work closely with the restaurant management team to ensure that all customer feedback is acted upon promptly and appropriately.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and ensure that the restaurant remains competitive in the market.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, specializing in tandoor and Indian cuisine.
- Diploma or degree in culinary arts from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly tandoor cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to train and manage junior kitchen staff effectively.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
**Salary**: AED1,800.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
