We are working with a local government entity that is looking to add to its legal team based in Abu Dhabi.
Our client is seeking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel who will report directly to the Chief Legal Counsel. This is a varied and stimulating role where some key responsibilities include working on international and regional corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures. Other areas include negotiating various types of commercial contracts as well as managing procurement matters and you will also be expected to draft IP & technology contracts too.
Applicants should have a common law qualification coming from jurisdictions such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada.
You would ideally have at least 8 years’ PQE gained in a reputable law firm and in-house entity. Experience of working in the UAE or the wider Gulf would be an advantage but not an absolute necessity.
Salary: £135K – £145K tax free + benefits
