SearchPlus HR is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Consultant or Specialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine. This position is crucial for providing specialized care for expectant mothers and their unborn babies, focusing on high-risk pregnancies and ensuring the health and wellbeing of both.
As a Consultant or Specialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, you will play a vital role in monitoring, diagnosing, and managing conditions related to both maternal and fetal health.
Your expertise will guide expectant families through complex obstetric challenges, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and collaborative multidisciplinary approaches.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and manage both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies through comprehensive assessments and screenings
- Perform advanced diagnostic procedures such as ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and chorionic villus sampling
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor fetal development and maternal health throughout pregnancy, recognizing any potential complications early
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and prenatal care
- Manage delivery planning, coordinating care for complicated deliveries
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in maternal and fetal medicine to ensure best practices
- Engage in continuing education and training opportunities to hone skills and enhance knowledge in the field
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documents of patient interactions and care
Requirements
- Medical degree and valid license to practice in Maternal and Fetal Medicine
- Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, followed by a fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Maternal and Fetal Medicine
- Proven experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and performing advanced diagnostic procedures
- Strong knowledge of obstetric procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams
- Detail-oriented and capable of making quick, informed decisions in complex medical situations
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a supportive environment for patients
