Your Day to Day
As Assistant Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the hotel's training functions, including:
1. Developing a complement of qualified departmental trainers.
2. Establishing a hotel system for generating training data and evaluating results.
3. Managing the day-to-day activities of the L&D; function, ensuring proper documentation and compliance of mandatory trainings and assessments.
4. Developing resources for onboarding and training, including creating visual informative aids.
5. Conducting all Training Needs Analysis for the Hotel and identifying/developing training programs for all development needs.
6. Establishing a high level of Leadership strength and competence through training/seminars/resources.
7. Creating a talent pool of high potentials within the business from the Annual Performance Appraisals.
8. Developing a network with other L&D; professionals to learn best practices and establish game changers to the business.
9.
Supporting and establishing a learning culture within the hotel.
Quality Assurance
Review and analyze hotel guest feedback through various platforms (Guest Love, GSI, Social Reviews, Glitches, Courtesy calls, etc.) on a regular basis and provide a clear understanding of the root cause of the issues and areas to improve. Participate in daily Operations meetings. Lead and facilitate monthly and quarterly Quality/Guest Experience/Tactical Solve Meetings and action planning sessions.
What We Need From You
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following qualifications and experience:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar capacity in an international hotel establishment.
2. Previous experience with an IHG is preferable.
3. Good oral and written proficiency in the English language is necessary.
4.
Certification of train-the-trainer is preferred.
5. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective training programs.
6. Ability to travel to the hotel that is located 4 Kms off Dubai coast.
