Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Inspector (with Road & Utilities projects work experience) to join our team here in UAE. In this role, you will get to perform difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks. If you meet the below JD, please feel free to apply for the job.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of the following:
1. Performs electrical and mechanical tests.
2. Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnaflex, dyepenetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paint thickness,
and resistivity.
3. Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
4. Validates piping systems, including P&ID; checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
5. Inspects electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.
6. Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.
7. Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
8. Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations.
9. Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
10. Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
11. May administer welder qualification tests.
12. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
1.
3 years diploma in Electrical Engineering and equivalent work experience, is required.
2. Minimum 7 years of construction work experience related to Electrical inspection of Traffic Signal, pumping station, storm water, sewerage and general infrastructure projects preferably in the Gulf region.
3. Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
4. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to area of assignment.
5. Preferred to have experience working on RTA Roads and Utilities,
Traffic Signal Inspection projects in Dubai.
