Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic and innovative faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemistry, coupled with the ability to inspire students through engaging instruction. This role requires a commitment to fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and scientific inquiry among students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and evaluate engaging and challenging lesson plans that adhere to the national and international science curriculum standards.

2. Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and interest in chemistry.

3. Instructional Delivery:

4. Deliver high-quality instruction in Chemistry,





utilizing a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles.

5. Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations that reinforce theoretical concepts and encourage hands-on learning.

6. Assessment and Evaluation:

7. Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and understanding of chemistry concepts.

8. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, guiding their academic growth and improvement.

9. Classroom Management:

10. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and respect.

11. Manage student behavior effectively, implementing classroom policies and procedures consistently.

12. Student Support and Mentorship:

Identify students' individual learning needs and provide additional support, resources, and enrichment opportunities as necessary.

14. Foster a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to take risks and embrace challenges in their learning.

15. Collaboration and Professional Development:

16. Collaborate with colleagues across the science department and other subject areas to develop interdisciplinary projects and curricula.

17. Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends in science education.

18. Communication and Community Engagement:

19. Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.







20. Engage in school community events, promoting the value of science education and encouraging student participation.

Proficiency in English is required; native or British English speakers are preferred.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Education:

2. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree or additional qualifications in Chemistry or Science Education is an advantage.

3. Experience:

4. Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of both theoretical and practical components of the subject.

5. Familiarity with international curricula, such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International Examinations (CIE),





or similar programs is preferred.

6. Skills and Competencies:

7. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.

8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

9. Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance student learning and engagement.
