**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Lead the global freight forwarding efforts in close collaboration with the regions.
- Concrete product and network development for Ocean and Air.
- Set forth standards for the business in terms of productivity targets,
customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Champion the world class forwarding programme and ensure it is firmly rooted in all parts of the global freight forwarding organization.
- Understanding of Import/ Export regulations coupled with strong acumen for global freight
- Strong customer service skills, proactivity and be a team leader
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors
- Extensive experience working in freight forwarding leadership roles
- Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions
- Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
20 plus years working within the Freight Forwarding Industry with a strong focus in P rocurement, Global Freight procedures, Booking and Routing Management Control Tower, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
- Successful management of all key stakeholder relationships including shareholders and external government agencies.
- Advanced knowledge of logistics process and security procedures and protocols.
- Strong negotiator and a self-starter with the ability to adapt to stressful environments by using a sociable but firm approach, as well as engendering trust and integrity.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate,
develop and encourage others to positively contribute to business goals and objectives.
- High level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence with the ability to build solid relationships
