Our company is seeking a talented and creative social media Content Creator & Video Editor to join our growing team!
As a video editor specializing in social media, your role is to create captivating and visually appealing video content specifically tailored for various social media platforms, you have a unique opportunity to engage and connect with audiences through short, attention-grabbing videos. You will produce engaging videos that effectively communicate messages and drive user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality written and visual content including articles, blog posts, social media posts, info graphics, videos, and other types of content that align with our brand and target audience.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new trends, topics, and ideas to incorporate into our content strategy.
- Optimize content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and engage in outreach efforts to build back links and drive traffic to our website.
- Collaborate on video concepts, brainstorm ideas, and communicate project progress and timelines.
- Video Editing: Utilize video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Light room, or specialized social media editing tools) to edit and optimize video content for specific social media platforms. This includes trimming, sequencing, and enhancing footage to create concise, attention-grabbing videos.
- Optimizing for Social Media Platforms: Develop engaging and informative social media content and adapt video content to fit the specific requirements and formats of different social media platforms. Optimize video length, aspect ratio, captions, and thumbnails to maximize engagement and visibility.
- Motion Graphics and Animations: Incorporate motion graphics, animated text, overlays, and other visual effects to enhance the storytelling and capture viewers' attention within the limited timeframe of social media videos. Create visually appealing elements that align with the brand's style and messaging.
- Audio Enhancement: Edit and mix audio tracks, including dialogue, sound effects, music, and voiceovers, to ensure optimal sound quality and clarity. Adjust audio levels to suit the platform and ensure a seamless viewing experience on social media.
- Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, formats, features, and best practices in social media video content. Continuously explore new techniques, effects,
and storytelling approaches to keep the brand's videos fresh and engaging.
*Analytics and Optimization: Monitor video performance metrics on social media platforms, such as views, engagement, and shares. Analyze data to gain insights into audience preferences and behaviors. Use this information to optimize future video content and strategies.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the success of our campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their formats, requirements, and user behaviors.
- Proven experience as a social media content creator or similar role.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and the ability to derive insights from video performance metrics.
- Proficiency in video editing software, specifically those compatible with social media
- Proficiency in motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance video content.
- Knowledge of social media platforms as well as experience with social media management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and with the ability to create engaging and informative content that resonates with our target audience.
- Strong visual and multimedia design skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying up to date with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing.
- Creative thinking and the ability to adapt to emerging trends and platform updates.
