**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, cook, and present traditional Arabic dishes, including hot and cold mezze, main courses, grills, and desserts.
- Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of dishes in accordance with recipes and guidelines.
- Manage the daily operations of a specific kitchen section (e.g., grill, pastry, or hot section).
- Delegate tasks to junior chefs and ensure the section runs smoothly during service hours.
- Monitor the quality of food prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and feedback when necessary.
- Assist in developing and refining Arabic menu items, introducing new and innovative dishes.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to create seasonal or special menus.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and that staff use it correctly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Adhere to food safety regulations (HACCP) and ensure that all food is stored and handled appropriately.
- Monitor stock levels in your section and place orders as necessary.
- Control waste and ensure cost-effective use of kitchen resources.
- Assist with inventory checks and manage the rotation of perishable goods.
- Work closely with other sections of the kitchen to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Train and mentor junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge of Arabic cuisine.
**Qualifications**:
- Culinary arts degree, certificate, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years specializing in Arabic cuisine.
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or catering environment focused on Arabic or Middle Eastern cuisine.
- Expertise in traditional and modern Arabic dishes, including mezze, grills, stews, pastries, and sweets.
- Strong knowledge of spices and flavor profiles used in Arabic cooking.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of food preparation.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate junior kitchen staff.
- Passion for Arabic cuisine and a keen interest in culinary innovation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED3,600.00 per month
