Job duties and responsibilities

- Accurately track employee’s work hours, breaks, and overtime through timekeeping systems.
- Ensure employee attendance data is recorded consistently and on time.
- Monitor for absences, and other attendance-related issues and address them promptly.
- Assist the payroll department in verifying timecards, calculating hours worked, and ensuring accurate payroll.
- Reconcile discrepancies between scheduled hours and actual time worked, working closely with supervisors to resolve any issues.
- Track vacation, sick leave,





and other employee absences, ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure employee work hours comply with labour laws and company policies on breaks, overtime, and time off.
- Maintain records that comply with legal and company wage and hour reporting requirements.
- Accurately input employee time data into timekeeping software and systems.
- Generate reports on attendance, overtime, and absenteeism for management review.
- Assist with scheduling employees for shifts, and coordinating with department managers as needed.

Job qualifications/requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required (HR, accounting, or related field preferred).
- Previous experience in timekeeping, payroll, or administrative roles preferred.
- Proficiency with timekeeping and payroll software is a plus.
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulations of work hours, overtime, and breaks.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills.
