Job Overview:






We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team in our first cloud kitchen in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. This role is integral to our mission of delivering authentic, flavorful dishes that represent the heart of Caribbean cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Leadership:

- Lead the kitchen team in daily operations, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes meet Sweet Dee’s Jerk's standards.
- Develop new recipes and menu items that align with our brand's identity, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting for customers.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in culinary skills.
- Conduct regular tasting sessions to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

Quality Control & Food Safety:

- Implement and maintain strict food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and hygiene regulations.






- Monitor quality control measures to ensure every dish meets our high standards before it leaves the kitchen.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and in optimal working condition.
- Address and resolve any food quality issues swiftly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Menu Development & Innovation:

- Collaborate with the management team to design seasonal menus and special offerings, keeping in mind customer preferences and market trends.
- Source and work with suppliers to procure high-quality ingredients that align with our standards and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques, integrating new ideas to enhance our menu while preserving authenticity.

Inventory & Cost Management:

- Oversee inventory management,





ensuring that stock levels are maintained and food waste is minimized.
- Maintain accurate records of food usage, wastage, and cost, implementing measures to maximize profitability.
- Work closely with suppliers for timely replenishment of stock and manage supplier relationships to secure the best prices.
- Develop and manage food cost controls, optimizing kitchen efficiency without compromising on quality.

Customer Experience:

- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time, maintaining consistency in portion sizes and presentation.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer feedback and implement improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that reflects the high standards of Sweet Dee’s Jerk.

Reporting & Analysis:







- Analyze kitchen performance metrics and prepare reports for the Kitchen Operations Manager, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing kitchen efficiency and propose action plans to boost productivity.
- Participate in regular meetings with the management team to align kitchen operations with business goals.

Qualifications:

- Professional Culinary Certification (PIC Level 3 preferred)
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a cloud kitchen or QSR.
- Deep understanding of Caribbean cuisine and a passion for delivering authentic flavors.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and kitchen management practices.






- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring that every dish is prepared to perfection.
- Proficient in using kitchen management software and inventory systems.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
