Responsibilities
1. Prepare accurate and detailed joinery shop drawings for various projects.
2. Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure all drawings meet project specifications.
3. Review and interpret design briefs and technical drawings.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
5. Modify and update existing drawings as required.
6. Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
7. Prepare Shop Drawings and As-built drawings for consultant approval/contracting.
8. Raise queries to the Project Consultant/Client for clarification and incorporate feedback into detailed Joinery Drawings.
9. Write related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates.
10.
Maintain a library of standard drawing templates.
11. Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
12. Utilize extensive working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings efficiently.
13. Exhibit communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.
14. Manage time effectively to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
15. Take site measurements and accurately calculate the sizes and number of materials needed.
16. Communicate with designers and engineers, incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
17. Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.
18. Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
19. Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements
1. At least 4-5 years of experience in the UAE from a well-established joinery company.
2. Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in drafting,
engineering, or a relevant field.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD software, 3D modeling tools, or similar drafting software.
4. Strong understanding of joinery and woodworking techniques.
To be successful as a Joinery Draftsman, candidates should have a strong understanding of joinery and woodworking techniques as well as excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
